See how to Solve your Body Itching after Bath known as ‘Prutitus’

Body itching after bath also known as prutitus has continued to affect most people worldwide, yet they don’t know the simple cure as well as the cause of this ailment. You go to the shower to take your bath and immediately after it you start itching and scratching all over your body and you keep wondering what is happening. This article is a masterpiece for you as it will give you a detail ways and step on how to solve the body itching after bath.

Let me start by telling you about the subject matter since I was once affected by it. The ailment is more common on the tropical zone and some warmer climatic regions but it can affect anyone. You don’t feel any pain or itching, but after taking your bath, you tend to experience sever itching lasting between 10-20 minutes

Body itching also known as Pruritus is better defined, as an unpleasant sensation that provokes the desire to scratch. There is also another ailment similar to body itching called Aquagenic Pruritus, which is a skin disease characterized by the development of severe itching on contact with water without any observable skin lesions. The symptoms may be felt immediately after contact with water and persist for an hour or longer!

Itching can have causes that aren’t due to any underlying diseases. Example includes hair regrowth, sunburns, insect bites, dry skin or healing wounds. All this can cause body itching after bath.

Nevertheless, I would want to add that Pruritus or itch is most commonly associated with a primary skin disorder such as xerosis, atopic dermatis, drug eruption, mastocytosis, or pemphigoid. However, when a primary skin condition cannot be identified as the cause of Pruritus, then a systematic or neuropathic cause must be sought. Patients without signs of a primary skin condition should undergo a thorough evaluation of potential systematic causes of itching if self medication doesn’t works.

I usually feel embarrassed and pained whenever I take my bath and immediately, the itching starts. At first, I thought I was being bewitched. You know the African setting here and all that stuff about spiritual influences but with time I search Google and other sites to seek possible cause of it and its solutions. I tried some and after some few days of none scratching, the itching continued again.

I was so perplexed and ask myself many questions and I guess that will be the same way you may be feeling now, right?

Cause of body itching after bath

I now ask myself, what could be the root cause of body itching after bath? I came to discover it was some tiny dusting (white) substances on my hair! You may call them dandruff but they aren’t such. I may liken them to be little scabies on my head which has been multiplying using the style of dandruff to eat deep within.

I had to do a personal experiment on myself and discovered that are on my hair. Each time I take my bath and don’t wash or touch my head or hair by not scrubbing, rubbing or allowing water to come near it, I don’t notice the itching. You must have notice this too. Try it and see for yourself too.

Try it too, take your bath and don’t allow water to touch your hair and don’t use your hands to touch or scrub your hair…you can later wash the hair separately and then watch. You won’t feel any body itch for that period, am I right? So the problem is coming from your hair. When I carried out this experiment and noticed this, I went out to buy scabies cream, a hair black gel cream and a hair brush. Before I continue, let me tell you other self-treatment you can apply.

Self treatment

If possible, avoid scratching, keep the skin clean and use a simple moisturizer cream after bath. Other antihistamine or corticosteroid cream can ease itching as well.

Solution to body itching after bath and how to solve Pruritius

As for the self experiment I conducted on myself, I did the following I want to outline her and mine stop.

First, you need to barb your hair so low and shinning.something they call skin cut.

Then for fourteen days morning and night I apply salt mix with water on my head for 20mins, wash it off and apply lime water on my head for another 20mins and wash off. This application will be so painful but bear it. Then apply the scabies cream, massaging it deep into very scarf of my head till the next day. When I mean scabies cream, they are corticosteroid creams like the ones on the pictures (VIXA SKINEAL, ROMCIN CREAM, VISITA PLUS).

Conclusion

You would need a different hair towel different from your body towel this period and discard or burn it with the hair brush after 14 days. Your hair must have grown back now and the itching must have stop.

Don’t forget to discard any items you must have used during this treatment as you run the risk of seeing the white scabies back on your head. Though this is not an expert advice, so I advice you seek medical solution too.
